Art imitating art? The fighting femmes of "Dynasty," Joan Collins and Linda Evans, will star in a play about ... two former co-starring actresses who've been feuding for years and who are forced to star with each other again. How fun is that? The play, "Legends," begins rehearsals this summer, Collins notes on her website. The author, James Kirkwood Jr., who died in 1989, also wrote 1985's "A Chorus Line" and the 2002 play "P.S. Your Cat is Dead."Nolan Miller has been tapped to dress these lovely ladies again for "Legends." My, isn't life ironic ...
But does art imitate life? (Or life imitate art!) No, according to Collins: "Contrary to what many people wanted to think, Linda and I actually got along extremely well during the 'Dynasty' years. The producers and the media loved to create feuds between us because it mirrored our hostility on the show. Well, in 'Legends' there will be plenty of hostility (on stage only) between us, which should certainly satisfy 'Dynasty' fans."
