It's a family affair for Audrey Landers' new movie

Audrey Landers, a BRBTV double-shot as Afton Cooper of "Dallas" and a couple roles on "The Dukes of Hazzard," has teamed with her sister Judy, the other half of the "Landers Sisters" of 1980s lore, to write and direct "Circus Island." The 2006 made-for-TV movie also features a host of other Landers family members: Judy's daughters Kristy and Lindsay, Audrey's sons Adam and Daniel, and Judy and Audrey's mom Ruth Landers is the executive producer. Hunky Ed Marinaro (Creighton Boyd of "Dynasty," of course) is thrown in for good measure.

The plot line from the IMDb: "In this lighthearted family adventure, 15-year-old Gabrielle runs away from home to find her deadbeat dad, who is a trapeze flyer living on a tropical island. Together, they turn the island into a circus camp for teens. It is a family circus in more ways than one. Danger, tears, love and laughter: It all happens under the big top!"

BRBTV News Blog Blip: Keep an eye out tonight (and fingers crossed, hands folded or whatever it is you do), at the Daytime Emmy Awards broadcast, for two of our "SB" stars: Kim Zimmer (Jodie Walker), nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series, and Robert Newman (one of the Kirk Cranstons), nominated for outstanding lead actor in a drama series. They do their great work nowadays, of course, on CBS' "Guiding Light."
