The writer of "Batman: The Animated Series," "The New Batman Adventures" and "Batman Beyond" talks about the villain Deadshot, star of the segment of the film that he worked on, as well as what it was like behind the scenes of the animated feature.
"I'm not one of those guys who can look back at his stuff with nostalgia," he says of his formative years with shows like "The Super Friends." "I look at it and I ask, 'Did I really do this?' They're unwatchable."
By the way, have you seen "The Dark Knight" in theaters? BRBTV must say, from the perspective of fervent Batfandom, that Heath Ledger done-stole that film from the grave. He wiped the floor with Jack Nicholson, up one side and down the other! We simply must revise last week's post of the Batman Dream Cast to put Ledger in the Joker position. Especially in the moment he was lumbering along on a burned-out Gotham street, just before being captured, shoulders hunched, eyes intent and psychotic enjoyment so evident ... we had to think, now that's the Joker.
