A Martinez is best known to us as Cruz Castillo, the hunky cop / detective on our beloved "Santa Barbara." He's done a whole lot of other roles over the years, and he's even an accomplished musician.
Next on Martinez' plate is a role that should have a certain familiar ring to it. The character's last name is Cruz, and the movie is "Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story." The feature airs at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, August 17 on Lifetime Movie Network.
The movie is based on a real story about a woman whose daughter is lost and assumed dead, though she doesn't believe her daughter is dead and fights valiantly to find her and reunite with her. Directed by Paul Kaufman, the movie also stars Judy Reyes and Ana Ortiz. With the first name Angel, Martinez' character is truly a good guy in the flick, helping the mother by performing a DNA test on a girl suspected to be her long-lost daughter.
To learn more about the movie, and to view a nice video that includes an interview with Martinez, see the Lifetime Movie Network site.
BRBTV News Blog Blip: "Take my breath away ... Mitch Cooper!!!!!" No, that's not how the song goes, but that's almost how the song went for Terri Nunn, a classic TV actress who at one time was offered the role as Lucy Ewing on "Dallas," but who went on, instead, to become the lead singer for the '80s group Berlin. And new wave enthusiasts everywhere thank her, we're sure. The Revenge of the '80s radio show has Nunn on as a guest this week, so you can hear more about what might have been.

It was so nice to see A again. I loved him on SB and just wish OLTL would have given him a longterm deal :(
