- Harley Jane Kozak, Jed Allan and John O'Hurley aren't the only "Santa Barbara" cast members who can write. Now Eileen Davidson, our final Kelly Capwell, has thrown her novel into the ring. "I have been saying for years that what goes on behind the scenes (is more intriguing)," she says. Hmmm ... wonder if any plot elements were pulled from her time at the Capwell house? We Love Soaps has a little more about the book, called "Death in Daytime." Released earlier this month from Signet, it's the first in a new soaps novel series.
- Do-ya have the November 14 premiere of "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" on Cartoon Network set on your TiVo? "Rise of the Blue Beetle!" is the episode that's queued up, and the time is 7:30 p.m. EST. Andrea Romano, the woman behind the voices of "Batman: The Animated Series," makes the transition to "B&B." See the Cartoon Network site for videos and games.
- The reports of her demise were ... ummm, never mind! Janis Levy, who portrayed Dash Nichols' lawyer Belinda Bradley on "Santa Barbara," is not really dead, she tells the Sunday Mercury. Levy had been confused with another actress who died last week.
- Elsewhere in the Sunday Mercury, Patrick Duffy talks about the Italian TV show he's planning to shoot with his "Dallas" co-star Linda Gray. Duffy also talks a little about the "Dallas" big-screen movie we've been hearing about for years -- and how he and Larry Hagman actually pitched a spoof project to Warner Bros. a decade ago.
- John Schneider spoke this past weekend at the AIDS Walk in Los Angeles. The Out in Hollywood blog has more, including Schneider's remembrances of three friends who died of the disease.
