Place your bids on TV history: Spock's ears, Yeoman Rand's red dress and so much more

Remember how on the original "Star Trek" the 1960s-inspired alien outfits for the females used to seem to just be pasted on???? All filmy and glittery and whatever, with lots of flesh exposed??? Well, maybe you can drum up some cash and see for yourself just how those gowns stayed on and held together -- Profiles in History is at it again, offering up some truly delicious screen-used outfits and props for auction this next month. Included in the offerings is that pink gown crossing Leslie Parrish's torso in the most intriguing way in the episode "Who Mourns for Adonais?" as well as uniforms worn by Nichelle Nichols as Uhura, Majel Barrett Roddenberry as Nurse Chapel and several other crew members.

Just the "Trek" assortment is quite astonishing, but Profiles in History is also including stuff like a chair from the set of '70s "The Incredible Hulk" and scripts from ABC's "General Hospital" in this, its Hollywood Auction 83. The movie stuff is a lot heavier than the TV stuff this time around, but lots of goodies can be had. The auction runs June 29 - July 1, 2016, 11 a.m. PST.

We pick up our Bat-Blitz series again with Part 9, focusing on that wily fiend of the Wild West, Shame! This conniving cowboy of crime was a villain created specifically for the TV series, though he has crossed over to another TV series over the years. Can you guess which one? Another toy show, another bag of TV fun

Oh, ya just know how much we here at BRBTV love a good toy show, and the big toy show in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in particular! We go twice a year now, instead of just Thanksgiving time! This past weekend's show at the fairgrounds did not disappoint, in the classic television department. So let's share a round of photos, shall we? We've got 1966 "Batman" and "Green Hornet" in this batch, as well as "Star Trek," "Wonder Woman," "The Secrets of Isis," even some Donny and Marie Osmond variety show -- we see some different TV-related goodies every time we go!

Two of the above photos will be featured in an upcoming episode of the "Terrific TV Toys" series to accompany a different vintage toy not pictured -- can you guess which two? Probably not. And one of the toys depicted above has already been in an episode, that Dolly Parton doll (so beautiful!).

Motor City Comic Con '16: A chat with Felix Silla

Actor Felix Silla's career spans five decades and includes great classic TV such as "The Addams Family," "Buck Rogers in 25th Century," "Battlestar Galactica" and "Star Trek." He played the alien on a "Dukes of Hazzard" episode that fans remember well -- if not highly: "Strange Visitor to Hazzard." He even was a penguin in the 1990s "Batman Returns" movie. You'd be surprised where this guy has popped up over the years.

At this past weekend's Motor City Comic Con at the Suburban Collection Showplace, Silla talked with Andrea Melchiori, Don Covell Jr. and Billie Rae Bates about his career.

We know that little tykes have loved "The Dukes of Hazzard" since it first aired in 1979. And we know there was a ton of merchandise associated with the show back then, especially around 1981 and 1982. One nice little treasure discovered at a toy show recently was a "Dukes" coloring book, one of several styles released in 1981. Andrea shows you the collection of "ALF" stuff she's gathered over the years, including the TV Guide she snagged at an antique mall the day we shot this episode!

Jason told us he spent way too much money there, and we can believe it -- BRBTV went crazy on just the stretch penny machines alone, the last time we were there! His visit included the newly opened Daisy Country onsite, which had a Cooter's garage diorama ...
