Paul Harrington of the Canadian Dukes of Hazzard Fan Club, who holds the annual Hair Dare Dukes Weekend benefit each year for the Canadian Cancer Society, has announced a new venue for next year's event:
"My wife Cheryl and I were able to convince the Leamington District Agricultural Society's president, secretary and the board of directors to let us hold our annual event on their grounds," Paul says. "WOW, this is the greatest news I could even think of. Now the event will be held right in the town of Leamington, Ontario, Canada. The Leamington Fair Grounds are located right on the main street of Leamington."
He adds, "This is the easiest place to have the event, as you can get there right from the 401, and head south on highway 77, right into town, as the grounds would be on the left side, right behind Applebee's, where many went to eat."
(Indeed, BRB enjoyed a nice dinner at that very Applebee's with several attendees of this past year's event -- along with other special guests Don Pedro Colley and Byron Cherry!)
The 2008 show will be on the fourth weekend in August:
