We reported in the March 17 post of this news blog some rumblings (and we tend to stay away from "rumblings," truth be told!) about a new Batman animated series. Well now that series, "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," has received its official announcement from the folks at Warner Bros.
The show, premiering on Cartoon Network later this year, will feature the Caped Crusader fighting crime, as he does so well, with a hand from buddies such as Blue Beetle, Green Arrow and Aquaman. This broader spectrum will sometimes take the Dark Knight far out of the Gotham surrounds. The art released with the announcement is certainly comic-book-classic but rather catchy.
Interestingly enough, we don't see any of the usual ("Batman: The Animated Series") players among the production staff listed in the official information:
