Fun TV-related treasures abound at New Baltimore Trade Center toy show

It was small, as toy shows go, but it was so wonderful to get back to a show again (first time since February) that this chick didn't care. It was the toy show at the New Baltimore (Michigan) Trade Center yesterday. Just look at the TV-related goodies that could be procured ... we've got "Star Trek," "I Love Lucy," "The Flintstones," "Happy Days" and so much more ...

To see a lot more TV-related collectibles, check out the Terrific TV Toys series on YouTube and Facebook.

Terrific non-TV Toys: Batgirl figure by Funko / 5 Star

Are we getting to the end of the "Backlog of Batgirls" of 2020? Weeeeellll ... they keep multiplying. We're coasting to the end of 2020, gradually (thankfully), but I have the feeling that we will still have some Batgirls spilling into 2021, because the collection has seen some additions since the backlog series started earlier this year. This author has some great people in her life who keep procuring more of these beauties for her. The one featured this week on Terrific non-TV Toys, however, is one I snagged myself, as recollection says, and it portrays the Batgirl of Burnside of the DC Comics in recent years ...

Collector shares some shots of his beautiful Bionics

Just as much as we love to share our own terrific TV-related memorabilia here at BRBTV, we love to look at the collections of others. Robert T. contacted BRBTV after seeing the Terrific TV Toys series on YouTube and passed along these photos of his collection of Kenner figures and toys celebrating "The Six Million Dollar Man" and "The Bionic Woman." (You can see he's a bit of a Bat-fan, too,) Thanks so much, Robert!

Be sure to like and follow the Terrific TV Toys Facebook page to see a lot more great stuff from collectors!

If you love those classic TV show novelizations like I do ...

This hard-core fan of classic TV shows just can't help but share this Pinterest board, because it plainly rocks. It's by Chad Austin and features pins of books based on classic and vintage TV shows.

TV BOOKS

"All in the Family," "General Hospital," "Columbo," our faves like "Dallas" and "Dynasty" and just so much more.

Terrific TV Toys: "DC Super Hero Girls" book and Pez

Even budding superheroes should take the time to read. And we're talking an actual book -- not necessary a Kindle or tablet (though, hey, those are cool, too). Here's an example of a nice book for the kid who admires the "DC Super Hero Girls," and it continues our "Backlog of Batgirls" miniseries on both collectibles shows -- Terrific TV Toys and Terrific non-TV Toys. This book follows the adventures of our young Babsy as she navigates life in high school as well as builds a career in crimefighting. Along with it, we've got a Pez of our hero.

Hallmark delivers up the Frosty, Snoopy, "Trek," "Super Friends" and much more at annual store event

The effects of COVID-19 ran pretty deep for today's special release of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments at the local Hallmark stores. Missing was last year's long line outside the store waiting for it to open, and of course, only a certain number of people could be allowed into the store and at the wall where the ornaments were displayed. (And hey, there was even a relocation involved -- this author's own neighborhood store is closing, causing a diversion to one across town.) Nevertheless, I and my collectibles procurement chief, Mike, soldiered on, arriving before the 8 a.m. opening time and then stepping inside to behold the marvy items just released this year. I, of course, paid particular attention to those of a television persuasion. There was no disappointment in that area.

"Star Trek" and "Continues" web series shine in these creative collages

A couple weeks ago you saw the clever collages created by C.J., who's an avid fan of "Wonder Woman," "The Bionic Woman," "Star Trek" and much more. C.J. has turned his attention to not only the original "Trek" series but also the newer fan-made web series "Star Trek Continues." Have you seen the web series? It looks amazing, and this author is going to dive into those episodes herself very soon. The actors' likenesses to the original cast are pretty good, and the sets look incredible. In the meantime, you can enjoy these colorful images, courtesy of C.J., and yes, you can download them ...
