So you've got the guy who loves to read, then survives the end of the world, and is able to go to the library and read as much as he wants, but ... he breaks his glasses. Totally rough, man! Then you've got the guy on trial in a huge, dark, sinister courtroom, being interrogated and determined to be "obsolete." Those are the two I remember best. But THEN you've got the printer and the visitor who may or may not be the devil. THEN there's frail little Mr. Dingle, who gets an unexpected boost from some comical aliens. Have you seen all four?
- "Time Enough at Last," Season 1, perhaps the best-known of the four
- "The Obsolete Man," Season 3, a powerful social commentary
- "Printer’s Devil," Season 4, an hourlong episode
- "Mr. Dingle, the Strong," Season 2, written by Rod Serling, also featuring Don Rickles
The latest episode of "Just Beneath the Surface" has Brian and Bruce breaking it down for you, and they rank the four episodes. Which is the best, in their opinion? You'll just have to watch ...
