A couple weeks ago you saw the clever collages created by C.J., who's an avid fan of "Wonder Woman," "The Bionic Woman," "Star Trek" and much more. C.J. has turned his attention to not only the original "Trek" series but also the newer fan-made web series "Star Trek Continues." Have you seen the web series? Terrific non-TV Toys: Batgirl ViniMate by Diamond Select Toys, 2018

This time on Terrific non-TV Toys, it's an item released for Free Comic Book Day a couple years ago, for something a tad different. It's yet another Batgirl figure (statue?) in our "Backlog of Batgirls" in 2020, and we're still trying to catch up! (Yes, more have been procured since we started chipping away at the backlog ... sigh ...) For this one, you'll see that she's part of a dynamic duo -- though her sometimes-boyfriend from the comics, Nightwing, is conspicuously absent! We'll explain why ...

Canadian artist Jim Wilson gets creative again, this time on the Starship Enterprise

Well, our buddy Jim Wilson of the Great White North is at it again. You've seen Jim's clever "Dukes of Hazzard" art on this blog, and it was featured in the BRBTV books "Them Dukes! Them Dukes!" and "Let's Roll, Kato: A Guide to TV's Green Hornet." Jim is also a fan of "Star Trek," both the original series and various other incarnations. One of his latest garage projects (and he has many, believe me!) was the command chair of Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise. This turned out pretty nice! And Jim completed this very quickly, in only a couple days.

I had to wonder about that snazzy NCC 1701 nameplate. Jim says it's a piece of brass plate with plastic letters he glued on and painted in hammer finish paint. Then he dusted it with gold and brass paint.

This talented guy has got to take commissions, I say!!! Geesh. And Jim jokes that he added the beer because it's a Canadian chair (for a Canadian captain, actually).

Terrific TV Toys: Batgirl figures from "DC Super Hero Girls," part 2!

Last month on Terrific TV Toys, we showed you some Batgirl dolls / figures from the "DC Super Hero Girls" web / TV series, the original incarnation. Now, we look at a couple more dolls, but we're bringing it more up to date with the version of the show that's currently airing on the Cartoon Network. This second incarnation of "Super Hero Girls" is savvy, smart, and the little jokes and quirks roll by quick, so you've got to pay attention! (Maybe that's if you're an adult -- kids probably get it much better!)

Tune in this Saturday to hear BRB chat "Dallas," "Dynasty" and lots more classic TV stuff!

Scott, a talented artist who collaborated on paintings with the late James ("Rosco P. Coltrane) Best of "The Dukes," and has helped create celeb websites, wanted to talk all things "Dukes," of course, but also great shows like "Dallas," "Dynasty," "CHiPs" and more.

The official website of the Green Hornet has gotten a sleek new look, as just announced by Mary Kay Johnston in The Black Beauty (the 1966 Green Hornet) and The Green Hornet Vintage Toys Facebook groups. Mary Kay's grandfather was George Trendle, a creator of the Green Hornet character and producer of the 1966 TV series of the character, and Mary Kay serves as board VP of Green Hornet Inc. 

 Called "The Green Hornet and Kato" with a nod to the superstardom of co-star Bruce Lee, the new site features a history of the characters as well as a list of current licensees, including this author and "Let's Roll, Kato: A Guide to TV's Green Hornet." There's a new movie being considered for the characters, and an animated series has been mentioned lately, too, so how timely to see a new official website, too!
