Mark your calendar for A "Moonrunners" Weekend this summer

You take a load of 200-proof corn liquor through a Georgia roadblock at 100 miles an hour and if you ain't a dead man, you're a moonrunner ...

You know, before there was a thing called "The Dukes of Hazzard," there was a thing called "Moonrunners." A movie, to be exact, drawing from elements familiar to all of us diehard "Dukes" fans ... fast cars, moonshine, Southern livin' ... Why, it even has an Uncle Jesse and a Waylon Jennings. You could call it the movie behind the TV show.

Well, the Hazzard County Car Club has announced "A 'Moonrunners' Weekend" on Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7. The place will be Griffin, Georgia, with host hotel to be announced.

This free event will include a screening of "Moonrunners" and a tour of the local filming sites. As the event approaches, more details will be added and confirmed, so keep your eye on http://www.dukesofhazzard01.com.
