Have you seen Honda's new "Six Million Dollar Man" TV spot?

So we're sitting there watching "The Voice" off the DVR last night, and I'm fast-forwarding through the commercials, and I catch a glimpse of a vintage Kenner action figure of "The Six Million Dollar Man." That red running suit with its logo is unmistakable. Whoa, hold the phone. I back up. There's the figure, all animated, jumping over cars and talking like a person. Like Lee Majors, to be exact. And it's totally him, doing the voiceover. How clever on Honda's part! Who knows why they did it, or how it ties in with their product, but it's super-cool.

I have seen the Care Bears and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Guess they are appealing to that generation that played with those toys. Would like to see The Bionic Woman in one of these commercials. Girls played with toys too!

I have see the Care Bears and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. How about The Bionic Woman next? My guess is they are appealing to that generation who played with those toys and can afford to buy those cars.

Yeah! One foot in the grave and buying cars every 8 years! What a demographic!

This is a stupid idea. Honda missed 2/3 of the car buying market in one fantastic shot - exactly how many people under 40 recognize this? Just about *nobody*??
