First "Dukes" art by Rosco hits eBay

The news hit a couple months back, and it was mighty nice news, yes, indeed. The idea of James Best, our own Rosco P. Coltrane of "The Dukes of Hazzard," not only being an accomplished artist in recent years, but turning his creative spirit toward the show that endeared him to us -- now there's a great thing.

Best has been working on a set of "Dukes" themed oil paintings, and now he's advertising this art from his new website, JamesBestDukesArt.com. He also has one of his "Dukes" paintings listed on eBay. The 16" by 20" painting, the first original to be offered from the "Dukes" collection, shows the General Lee on two wheels and is a real treat because it won't be offered in prints. No other originals from the collection are being offered just yet. Best will even be painting commissioned art for fans -- General Lee owners with their cars, for instance -- upon request via his wife, Dorothy.

"Keep your Gown Down and the Pedal to the Metal," the auction listing says. "I'm Gone. Kee Kee Kee!!!!!!!!!! I luv it! I luv it!" Yes, we love it, too ...
