John Travolta scheming to do in ... Rob Lowe? "Dallas" casting rumors continue

CinemaBlend.com is checking in with some unconfirmed tidbits about the "Dallas" big-screen remake that we've all been awaiting so anxiously. Now, we'll remind you of what they say in their story, that these things are unconfirmed, but what they're saying is that Rob Lowe and Matthew Fox are the latest stars being considered for the project, now being directed by Betty Thomas.

Katie Cassidy is evidently back in (or still in?) as Lucy Ewing, according to this "scooper." But holy cow -- Rob Lowe as Cliff Barnes? We dunno. The scooper also says the film will return to the roots of the show -- the very beginning of the pilot episode -- for its content.

At the same time, though, rumors swirl (we don't exactly like posting unconfirmed stuff, but it's quite scintillating stuff, and we are attaching that red blinking "rumor" light to it!) that there's another "Dallas" movie project in the works -- another reunion movie of the original cast, to be exact.

BRBTV News Blog Blip: Lane Davies, our own lovable Shakespearean original Mason Capwell of "Santa Barbara," is making the news at Middle Tennessee State University. His role in the new production of "Romeo and Juliet" is featured in their student newspaper.
